“Memories of memories” — new series of work in progress — Into metal, I further developed my research on Agent Orange. Following maps of operations carried out in the south Vietnam between 1965 - 1971, I carved out the flight paths of defoliation and crop destruction missions, then removed the borders that once gave these marks a name and a scale. My attempt to engraved what lingers rather than what can be clearly seen. What remains are only places where Agent Orange fell. These fragments do not resolve into a map, they drift - like residue, to sit with a landscape remembered through absence, where memories become less a record than a surface continually remarked.
